About AFEME Mechatronics School

The establishment of AFEME Mechatronic School (AMS) is an effort to enhance the technical manpower of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) through the German – Nigerian bilateral cooperation. Thus, a bilateral agreement in form of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on 22 Jun 11 between German and Nigerian Ministries of Defence (MOD) to establish AFEME Mechatronic school. AMS was commissioned on 27 May 15 and offers a 2 year course in Automobile Mechatronics. It awards Technical certificate (National Vocational Certificates in mechatronics) in accordance with the Nigerian National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
